Hello & welcome,

This page is a short introduction to myself, & to explain why this site was created.

I have been involved in DIY & home maintenance for over 30 years now,tackling a wide range of jobs.Most of my early working years were spent working solely with wood,anything from making & fitting a simple shelf  right up to manufacturing  full scale models of various  military vehicles.

Gradually over the years as I learned new skills  I used these to start my own business, which I have been running successfully for over 15 years now.

As you can imagine, after all these years visiting peoples homes, I have come across a wide range of  DIY problems & disasters !

Which brings me to why I created this site ! quite a lot of the time when I am carrying out work at peoples homes I am asked a whole host of DIY related questions – where can I buy this ?, how do I fit that ? etc. etc. & I realised a lot of people either don’t know a lot about it,or are too scared to attempt it.

So I decided in my wisdom,to build a site which can help & inform people to carry out their own DIY tasks & projects.I will try my best to cover a whole host of  jobs from the simplest of  tasks up to more challenging projects.
